Unite for Sepsis Symposium 2025: Highlights and Key Takeaways

Last week, we had the privilege of being in Chicago for the Unite for Sepsis Symposium, hosted by Sepsis Alliance with the Grainger College of Engineering and the Carle-Illinois College of Medicine. Researchers, clinicians, innovators, regulators, investors, and survivors all came together with the shared purpose to change the trajectory of sepsis.

Speakers and attendees represented every corner of the sepsis community. The diversity of perspectives made for lively discussions about what’s working, what’s not, and where we need to go next.

Day 1: Innovation and Possibility

The first day set the tone with a look at where the science is headed. We heard about the future of diagnostics, how AI tools can support clinical decision making, and the importance of designing clinical trials that generate meaningful, actionable results. Conversations about funding pathways were candid and solution-focused, because great ideas can only make an impact if they can reach patients. Our own CEO, Bobby Reddy, Jr., PhD, took the stage to share how Prenosis is using AI to help clinicians intervene earlier, when it matters most.

Day 2: From Ideas to Action

The second day was about putting it all into practice. Speakers shared lessons on integrating new tools into workflows, ensuring innovations work in different health system environments, and making equitable access a reality. Collaboration was a common thread—not as a buzzword, but as a necessity if we are going to turn these breakthroughs into standard care.

Our Takeaway

We left Chicago inspired by the focus on validation, access, and collaboration—themes that reflect the direction of the sepsis community and resonate strongly with our work at Prenosis. These priorities will continue to inform how we partner with clinicians and health systems and how we build AI-powered tools that help save lives.

Events like this remind us that no one can solve sepsis alone. It will take bold science, open dialogue, and cross-sector partnerships to create lasting change. We’re excited to be part of this movement and to help drive solutions that create lasting impact in sepsis care.

We’d love to keep this conversation going. Follow Prenosis on LinkedIn for more insights from the frontlines of sepsis innovation.
